Would you rather sell your history in an interview or the combination of your experience and what you can deliver in 90 days?
I was speaking to a VP of IT candidate friend of mine recently. He was in the process of beginning his search for his next position. We were chatting about the delivery capabilities of the tools. I thought of something for a second and asked him how would he like to say to the CIO that he has driven success before and could do that in this new position. In fact, he could stand up a Change Advisory Board in less than 30 days, he could kick off a new project with complete and traceable requirements for the Business in less than 60, he could measure and improve the customer satisfaction without surveys in 90. How would that change the tone of what he could offer?
